The modes of National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli course admissions are offline and online. Admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses is based on entrance exam scores and merit. At the undergraduate level, the university offers four-year B.Tech and various other courses to students. At the postgraduate level, the NIT Trichy provides two-year MBA, M.Tech, MCA and various other courses to students. The university also provides Ph.D. courses to students.

At the postgraduate level, NIT Trichy offers two-year MBA courses to students. Without CAT, candidates can't get admission to MBA at NIT Trichy. A relevant score in CAT is necessary to get admission at NIT Trichy for MBA. The selection criteria also include personal interview rounds and relevant work experience. The total fee for MBA at NIT Trichy is INR 1.4 lakh. So prepare well in advance for a successful admission to MBA course at NIT Trichy.

Both IIT Palakkad and NIT Tiruchirappalli are one of the top-ranked institutions present in India. NIT Tiruchirappalli is ranked eighth by NIRF 2022 under the Engineering category whereas, IIT Palakkad is ranked 68 by NIRF 2022 under the Engineering category. Both colleges have great faculty and infrastructure for teaching the CSE course. The placement opportunities provided by both colleges are also great. Ultimately, The decision lies on the student according to what he/she is actually looking for in a college or university.

At the postgraduate level, NIT Trichy provides two-year MTech, MBA, MCA, and various other courses to students. The MCA program at NIT, Trichy is good. NIT Tiruchirappalli is ranked 701-710 by QS World University Rankings 2025. It is one of the top-ranked universities present in India.
