Talking about the companies that visit for recruiting include many tech giants like Intel, Amazon, Facebook, Dell, HP. The NITs for a while now whereas NIT, Warangal is said to be in top 3 but its position keeps on fluctuating. If we see the MHRD ranking for engineering colleges NIT, Trichy stands at 11 while NIT, Warangal stands at 34. Coming to the CSE department, the curriculum of both the colleges is similar. NIT-Trichy is ranked 11 according to the MHRD rankings while NIT-Warangal is ranked at 34. But the question asked bothers me more. We can't compare two different branches in different colleges. Actually comparing different branches from the same college is also not a good idea. Branch is not a thing which can be termed as good or bad or better than other. Branch should be chosen only on basis of one's personal interest and passion for it. If you don't know which ones better suited for you, I would recommend to going to college's website and comparing the curriculum of both the branches. It will surely help you in making a decision. NIT -Surathkal is said to be in top 3 but its position keeps on fluctuating. If we see the MHRD ranking for engineering colleges NIT, Trichy stands at 11th rank while NIT, Warangal stands at 22nd rank. Coming to the CSE department, the curriculum of both the colleges is similar. The faculty in both the colleges is comparable as they follow government rules for recruitment of professors. Coming to the placements. In 2017 NIT, Surathkal saw a placement of 100% for the CSE department while NIT-Trichy also had 100% placement for 2017. The last year closing ranks in 7th round at NIT Trichy in asked category was 14979 in production engineering under home state quota. While in special round this was 658747 in Chemical engineering. Hence you have to score more than 98% for straight round counselling while above 95 percentile for special round counselling.

In first special round, The opening and closing ranks were 26469 and 33746 respectively in your category under other state quota. Hence your JEE Main percentile should be above 96 for NIT Trichy for ECE.
