Since you belong to the AU region, I don't think you can expect a seat at SV University,
But I suggest you try for JNTU-Kakinada. It is far better compared to SVU in terms of studies and faculty.

In most of the engineering colleges, the change in branch is permissible. So you can change your engineering branch. Every college have their own criteria of CGPA required for change in branch. So its better to asked to college regarding this. However generally students having CGPA above 7.5 are eligible to apply for change in branch.

Here at SVUCE, we don't have B Tech CSE with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence.
The University has a regular B Tech CSE in which we get to choose a specialization in 5 semester.
As your rank is good, You can confidently expect a seat in the CSE branch at SV University.

Hello Gaddam Nithin, your ranking in the entrance examination conducted by the state of Andhra Pradesh is reasonably good. In fact this ranking should get you a good branch in a good college. But unfortunately CSE is a different cup of tea. This is so since almost every student gives this branch as first choice. Due to this the cutoffs are really stiff for this branch.
