 The University of Essex takes undergraduate admissions through UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). The UCAS application fee for 2023 entry is GBP 27 for a maximum of six choices. Besides the application fees, UCAS also charges assessment fees. The cost of the assessment fee varies depending on the course and the conservatoire. For master courses, international students can directly apply through the website portal.

All international students whose first language is not English, are required to demonstrate their proficiency in the English language. English language requirements at the University of Essex are country specific. And, an Indian student who has achieved 70% or more in English in Class 12 from CBSE or CISCE board exam does not require an IELTS score to demonstrate proficiency in the English language.
