Whittier is located in the uptown area of the city of Whittier, so students like walking around as there are cute cafes. Students mention that there are lots of on-campus activities to keep students engaged. Faculty genuinely care about their students and help connect students with fellowships and internships that will help them obtain professional roles upon graduation. A student stated that most students live off campus because of the dorm conditions. Concerns regarding the college's financial viability and how it affects resources and programming are raised in certain reports.

Getting into Whittier College is moderately selective as the acceptance rate ranges between 75% and 86%.
