To be eligible for admission to the MBA programmes offered at Doon Business School, a candidate must have a valid bachelor’s degree in any discipline, with a minimum aggregate of 50% or an equivalent grade. Final-year undergraduate students can also apply for the course. The final selection is based on the candidate's performance in Class 12, Graduation, entrance exam and the online interview. The accepted entrance exams include MAT, CAT, CMAT, XAT, GMAT, GRE or DBS Global University Entrance Examination.

The applications for Doon Business School scholarships for MBA students should be made in a prescribed form which is available at the institute at the beginning of the semster. This application should preferably be made along with the registration for MBA admission. The applicants must submit the photocopies of the required mark sheets and give an indemnity bond specifying that they will not leave the MBA programme in between the duration of the course. The candidates should have secured an aggregate of 50% marks in 10th class and 12th class with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects from a recognised board. The overall cutoff percentile for MAT is 70. University do not offer management quota unlike other private universities.

Yes, it is relatively easy to get admission in DIT University - Admission Office. The university offers direct admissions to students who have scored 95% or above in their XII Std, and also reserves 25% of seats for Uttarakhand candidates who are eligible for a 26% scholarship on tuition fees
