The eligibility criteria is as follow: (i) The minimum eligibility qualifications will be the same as prescribed for other candidates seeking admission through the Entrance Examination. (ii) For Candidates educated abroad The students who are educated abroad seeking admission in Veterinary colleges in India should has passed the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English up to the 12th Standard level with 50% marks in aggregate of these subjects.

To be eligible for MBA admission at DOMS IIT Roorkee, candidates need to possess a graduation degree/ professional qualification in any stream from a UGC-recognised university with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates). Final year students can also apply for MBA course.IIT graduates (admitted via IIT JEE) with a CGPA of 7.0 or above on a 10 point scale are exempted from appearing for CAT. 

To be eligible for PhD programme offered at DOMS IIT Roorkee, candidates need to pass BE/ BTech with a minimum of 70% aggregate/ CGPA of 7 on a 10-point scale (65% for SC/ ST candidates/ CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale) or pass ME/ MTech/ MSc/ MA/ MCom/ MMS/ MBA or equivalent degree from a recognised institute/ university with a minimum of 60% aggregate/ CGPA of 6 on a 10-point scale (55% for SC/ ST candidate/ CGPA of 5.5 on a 10-point scale).

BTech is offered in five specialisations, namely Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Civil and Mechanical Engineering.

Candidates who have completed a master's degree with at least 60% aggregate are eligible to apply for the M.Tech course.

NIT Uttarakhand achieved 45.66% overall BTech placements for the academic year 2021-2022 till now. As per the latest report, a total of 127 students were eligible for NIT Uttarakhand placements 2022, of which 58 have been placed so far. The highest packages offered till now stood at INR 34 LPA.
