The university offers various scholarships. To encourage more female students to continue their learning journeys after class 12, UPES through its initiative ‘Shakti’ is creating a fast track for them from classroom to the boardroom - with exclusive scholarships for female students. Since 2020, UPES has offered ‘Shakti’ scholarship to more than 6000 female students from across India. UPES offers a total of 3,010 seats for the BTech/BTech (Hons) course. Admissions to these seats follow two categories: the non-exam category, which allocates 10% of seats through JEE Mains and 10% through Board Merit, and the exam category, where seats are filled based on UPES Examination and other tests conducted by the university. The selection process for the BTech course considers performance in JEE Main/CUET/SAT India and the candidate's merit in their last qualifying examination. Once selected, candidates must present necessary documents for verification to establish their eligibility. To secure their place in the university, students need to pay the prescribed course fee, which ranges from INR 9.46 Lacs to INR 18.32 Lacs, according to unofficial information.
