VIT is one of the best university if you are planning to go outside India. There are a lot of opportunities at VIT, but at the same time, we have that much competition. The college and hostel rules are strict. The Vellore campus is beautiful, you definitely will love the campus.
If you talk about placements both the college's are equally good. In VIT, you will definitely get a job offer, irrespective of the performance. If you are a bright student, you get a good job offer here as you will get in SVNIT.
Talking about mess and hostel conditions both SVNIT and VIT gives you good facility. You do get north Indian food and South Indian food

It is not that bad. If you have money and interest in the field you can take it. You will definitely gain knowledge and exposure to the culture and the latest technology. If you are just looking for the degree it is not advisable to take the course in VIT. According to the placement, VIT is not good for B.Des courses.

Aspiring candidates should be born on or after July 1, 1996. Note: As proof of age, only High School/ SSC/X Certificate will be accepted. This is the eligibility criteria for VIT.

Without management quota, your rank should be below 8000 and for IT to be 11000 to be precise for a confirmed seat in category 1 there. This year in Phase 1 counselling day 1, ranks from 1-8000 were called and to my surprise, all the seats of CSE branch were filled. Don't worry! If you don't get a seat in category 1, then you have to manage to get a rank between 20000-30000, then also your seat is confirmed in CSE branch but that would be under category 2 to category 4 (i.e fees increases as category number increases) and you have to pay higher fees than category 1.

I think VIT University would be the best option among KIIT SRM. Placements are relatively very good for a campus that is just 10 years old. Being a Computer Science student, the average package for this subject was 16 lakhs per annum for CS. All the students who SAT for placements (some students go for higher studies) got decent jobs. Considering the fact that they take around 15 lac fees for the complete 4 year course, the placements offered are decent but not at par with some of the leading IITs such as Bombay, Delhi and Kanpur. Big companies that offer majority of the placements for CS students are Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, Direc

The cut-off of VITEEE 2018 will be declared in the form of opening and closing ranks. The VITEEE 2018 cut-off will be announced for admission after the declaration of results in on or before April 25, 2018. All of the applicants who desire to get admission into various engineering courses offered by the university will have to meet the cut-off ranks. Those aspirants who have ranked lower than the closing rank of a particular category will not be eligible for admission. Variety of factors will be considered while determining the VITEEE cutoff 2018 such as the exam difficulty level, the number of candidates appeared, and the total number

Not so sure about the rank. But the bio-medical is available till the end of the first phase counselling (1-20,000 Rank) because, in Biology stream, preference goes like:
Biotech
Bio-info (because there is a tag as CSE with specialisation in Bio-info)
Bio-med
My personal advice to you will be not to go for bio-medical. Although it's a great field to study, but there is isn't much you can do after B.Tech in bio-medical. So many of my friends despite having two digit rank in GATE are going for IT company jobs. Because they feel like there is no future in INDIA for a student graduating from Biomed or biotech.
Hope it helped.
