The placement of civil engineering department of VIT Vellore is more than 85%. 5 or 6 civil engineering core company visited every year for campus interview. The average salary of civil engineer is 3.5 lacs to 7.5 lacs per annum. However, the average package offered during VIT Vellore placements 2022 was INR 8.19 LPA (Lacs per annum). The highest package was INR 1.02 crore per annum and was grabbed by two B.Tech CSE students of VIT Vellore. I hope this helps!

The authorities conducted VITEEE 2023 counselling in different phases. Each phase was allocated to specific ranks obtained by the candidates in VITEEE 2023. Five phases of VITEEE 2023 counselling was held by the authorities. Each phase had it's own specific timeline for registration, choice filling and seat allotment. Phase 1 and 2 was held for ranks 1 to 20,000 and rank 20,001 to 45,000, respectively. Similarly Phase 3, 4 and 5 was held for ranks 45,001 to 70,000, rank 70,001 to 1 Lacs and rank 1 Lacs upwards. Candidates were advised to carefully check the dates before registering for the counselling process.

Yes. VIT offers various scholarship opportunities to candidates with a bright academic record. Under the give School Development Programme (GVSDP), the toppers of each state and central board are given a 100% tuition fee waiver for all four years. VITEEE rank holders of 1 to 50 will be provided with 75% tuition fee waiver for all four years. Similarly, rank holders of 51 to 100 and 101 to 1000 will be given 50% and 25% tuition fee waiver for four years, respectively.

VIT Vellore is the home to various B.Tech courses. Among the various courses, Computer Science and Engineering (Specialisation in Bioinformatics) can be considered the best branch in VIT Vellore. It has the lowest closing rank (around 7,500). However, the students will have to keep their interest in consideration while choosing their branch for future studies. VIT Vellore is one of the most coveted private engineering institute and there are many courses for the students to choose from.

No. VIT does not have any specific reservation criteria for admissions into their campuses. During the VITEEE counselling process, admissions are done solely based on the candidate's rank, eligibility, preferences and seat availability. Irrespective of the candidate's category, allotment of seats will be conducted as per the obtained ranks. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria carefully before admission.

Hello Kushank, VIT offers this unique course which is 5 years integrated M.Tech. For admissions in the scores there is no entrance exam and all admissions are based exclusively on the performance of the student in 12th standard examination conducted by any board across India. Only Indian nationals are allowed to participate in the admission process. With more than 91% in class 12th I am sure your chances of getting admission are very bright. So just don't worry and apply for the admission for this integrated M.Tech course. Best wishes to you.

Congratulations to your son for securing a good rank in the VIT entrance exam. The category-wise cutoff rank for admission to Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) varies every year. As you have not mentioned your son's category, I will assume that he belongs to the General category. In that case, his rank of 15981 is a good rank, and he may have a chance of getting admission in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at VIT Vellore or Chennai campus. It is difficult to predict your chances of getting admission to Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) based solely on your rank. Admissions to VIT are highly competitive, and the cutoff rank for CSE varies depending on several factors such as the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the entrance exam, and the number of available seats.
