The application process for MBA course of Kakatiya University includes applying for TS ICET exam. This application can only be made online of the official website of the exam. The exam is also conducted in online/CBT mode. The results and merit-list will also be declared online. However, to confirm the seat allotment, shortlisted candidates will have to physically report at the campus for counselling process and fee submission.

To apply for MBA at Kakatiya University, aspirants will have to apply for TS ICET, the accepted exam for MBA admissions at the university. For this, students can either visit the official website of Kakatiya University or directly visit the TS ICET website. According to the TS ICET 2024 notification, the students belonging to SC/ST category have been given a relaxation in two ways. The minimum required marks in the bachelor’s degree for SC/ST candidates is 45%, as opposed to 50% for the students belonging to the unreserved category. Additionally, there is no minimum qualifying cut-off in TS ICET exam for candidates belonging to SC/ST category. For students belonging to unreserved category, 25% is the minimum qualifying cut-off to be eligible for counselling rounds.

The cut-off required for admission to the MBA programme of Kakatiya University varies from year to year. It is released in the form of closing TS ICET rank at which MBA admission will be provided. In 2024, the closing cut-off rank for MBA admission was 12,282. Candidates who secured a rank above the mentioned TS ICET rank were eligible for admission.

TS ICET 2024 result is expected to be declared on June 28, 2024. Following the announcement of result, the counselling process of various participating colleges will begin.

The minimum age for applying to the MBA programme of Kakatiya University is decided by the eligibility criteria of the accepted entrance exam, which is TS ICET. To be eligible for TS ICET, a candidate must be of at least 19 years of age, as on March 30, in the year of admission. There is no upper limit of age for applying for TS ICET. Yes, as per the norms of TS ICET, the students who are pursuing a valid bachelor’s degree (BA/ B.Com/ B.Sc./ BBA/ BBM / BCA/ BE/ B.Tech/ B. Pharmacy/ Any 3 or 4-year degree except Oriental languages) and are currently in the last year of the degree, can apply for TS ICET. Students who are awaiting their final result of bachelor’s degree can also apply for TS ICET. In this case, the only requirement is for them to have attained the age of 19 years, on or before March 30, in the year of admission.

No, CAT is not required to take admission in the MBA programme of Kakatiya University. The university accepts admissions on the basis of TS ICET scores. TS ICET is the entrance exam conducted by Kakatiya University, on the behalf of Telangana state ICET, for admissions into MBA and MCA courses in all universities in the state and their affiliated colleges.
