For Biotechnology Engineering, last time (2016-17) out of 75 students who applied to placements, 65 students were placed meaning almost 90% placement for Biotechnology which is astonishing considering the fact many core Companies rolling out offers. The minimum salary offered was 3.5 LPA. The average salary was 7 LPA and the maximum salary was 18 LPA for biotechnology specialisation. All these figures pop out a good reputation at NIT-Warangal. According to the National Institute Ranking Framework, NIT-Warangal ranks 34th among the engineering colleges in India. For Computer Science Engineering, last time (2016-17) out of 108 students who applied to placements from CSE department, 107 students were placed meaning 90.1 percent placement for CSE which is quite an impressive number. For CSE, the minimum salary offered was 3.3 LPA. The average salary was 13.5 LPA and the maximum salary was 20 LPA. All these figures suggest pretty good placements at NIT-Warangal. The highest package goes as high as 30 LPA. Some international firms also visit here every year. Internship through college is average. Students who have a good GPA are mostly selected for PPOs and also the internship. Infrastructure and Faculty are simply great and college is accredited globally. Ranked 5th among 'Best Engineering Institutes of India' by India Today in 2016 and Moreover, Ranked 39th among 'Top 100 Engineering Institutes in India' by National Institutional Ranking Framework (MHRD) in 2017. Thus, Conclusion stands that it is one of Premium Institution for best scenario Placements and Internship opportunities.

NIT-Trichy is ranked 11 according to the MHRD rankings while NIT-Warangal is ranked at 34. But the question asked bothers me more. We can't compare two different branches in different colleges. Actually comparing different branches from the same college is also not a good idea. Branch is not a thing which can be termed as good or bad or better than other. Branch should be chosen only on basis of one's personal interest and passion for it. If you don't know which ones better suited for you, I would recommend to going to college's website and comparing the curriculum of both the branches. It will surely help you in making a decision. Seeing what subjects you will be studying for the next 4 years will give you a fair idea whether you like a branch or not.
