Vidyasagar University campus is well-built and is easy to navigate during admission days. The students and parents can collect the brochures which have the pictorial depiction of several areas. In addition to this, there are several small banners placed everywhere around the campus to depict the name of the college/ department/ building. The parents can even take the help of the on-duty teachers or even the guard can give them directions.

Orientation programmes are very important and help in introducing the college/university to students and their parents. As for parents orientation programmes, there is no information regarding this on the official website of Vidyasagar University. Keep visiting the official website for updated information.

At this moment Kaliachak Government Polytechnic situated in Malda, West Bengal does not have the Hostel or mess facility for students. The college is still under development and trying to groom more its physical structure. However the students can easily get PGs near the college itself. Other basic amenities available in the college include ; a college library which is well stocked and spacious laboratory for practicals, a boys’ and a girls’ common room for playing games. For the large number of students in the college in the future the college may think of providing hostel facilities in future.
