D.Ed colleges in West Bengal boast many recognised colleges, some of which include the WBBPE affiliated Bengal Teachers Training College, Rabindra Shiksha Sammilani College of Education, just to mention a few. These colleges have excellent infrastructure, highly qualified faculty members and lay down a very effective curriculum for preparing students for the teaching profession. The most important thing, however, is that one needs to visit and research each of the colleges, relative to location, personal choice and admission requirements, in order to decide.

As per Placement 2024, the highest percentage of job opportunities came from BFSI at 27%, followed by Business Consulting & Services, FMCG / FMCD, and Consumer Electronics & Appliances at 21%, 10%, and 8% respectively. Yes, you may apply for admission to North Bengal University without a caste certificate if you belong to the General Category. If you belong to a reserved category, SC/ST/OBC, then a caste certificate is mandatory for claiming any reservation benefits.
