Hello Jit,
You have to appear in exam then after results you have to fell the counselling form with its fees your specified branch then you appear for counselling and see your allotted seat according to the dates of first counselling, if you are satisfied with the seat allotted then lock it and if not then appear in second round of counselling.

Well, the rank predictor solely depends on the previous year marks vs rank trend. So, I am not telling that they are 100% accurate because every year, no of candidates are increasing, these are basically made to give you the glimpse of the rank, so that you can predict your expected colleges.
