Any college which comes under the university will ask for anyone of the competitive exams, it might be KCET or COMEDK. So, if you want to get admission without entrance then you need to check for any deemed or private universities for admission.

For admission into any private colleges of Bangalore, you need to take any one of the exams. Yes, all the colleges have management quota seats but for this, you will need to talk to the college management.

There is not any specific book for any specific engineering entrance examination because questions are more or less same in every examination, but if you want to prepare in a good way then try solving last years question paper of COMEDK, and as far as book is concerned, NCERT will be enough.
All the best.

1) Time Management: COMEDK is not about solving all questions, but it is about solving decent number of questions in a given time frame. If you are stuck on any question, do not waste time. Move to the next question and try to solve easy questions rather than focusing and spending more time on solving more difficult question.
2) Understand basic concepts: It is very important to complete your NCERT books as these textbooks will help you to build your base and you can learn the basics. Always make sure that you are covering all topics of NCERT books well on time. The NCERT of class 11th and 12th covers about 45 percent and 55 percent
