The exam is designed to assess the candidate's knowledge and understanding of various subjects relevant to the field of company secretarial practices. The CSEET includes the following subjects: 1. Business Communication: This subject focuses on developing candidate's communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as enhancing candidate's comprehension abilities. The CS Executive Entrance Test comprises of four subjects that assesses candidate's aptitude and foundational knowledge to pursue the CS course. The CSEET subjects are:
1. Business Communication: This section assesses the candidate's communication skills. It covers the topics such as English Grammar and its usage, Vocabulary, Idioms and phrases, proverbs, Comprehension passage and so forth.
2. Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning: This section assess the candidate's analytical and reasoning skills. It covers the topics such as Legal Aptitude, law of Contract, Law of Torts, Elements of Company Law, Verbal Reasoning, Non-verbal reasoning and so forth.
3. Economic and Business Environment: This section assess the candidate's understanding of the economics and business concepts. It covers topics such as basics of Demand and Supply, National Income, Indian Union Budget, Indian Financial markets and so forth.
4. Current Affairs This section evaluates the awareness and knowledge of candidate regarding current event and developments.

CSEET or CS Executive Entrance Test is an entrance examination for CS course conducted by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). It is the mandatory examination that has to be taken by the candidates to pursue the CS course. The main objective of CSEET exam is to assess candidates on the basis of foundational and aptitude knowledge. The CSEET exam examines the candidate in the following areas: Business Communication, Legal Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude Economics, Business Environment, and Current Affairs. Previously entry to the CS course had a different route, CSEET was introduced in May 2020. The exam is conducted in remote proctored mode across India. Upon qualifying the CSEET exam, candidates will be able to register for the CS Executive programme and further CS Professional programme.

To prepare for the CS Executive Entrance Test CSEET candidates can follow the following guide:
1. Know the CSEET exam pattern and syllabus: Candidates must familiarise with the CSEET exam pattern and syllabus. The syllabus of CSEET is divided into four parts. The exam is conducted for a duration of two hours. Candidates must attempt 120 questions within two hours. Candidates must understand the weightage given to each section and prepare accordingly.
2. Device Preparation Plan: Candidates must plan their study schedule by allocating sufficient time for each section. Candidates must set certain targets for each day or week. Candidates must ensure to have sufficient time for revision and mock tests.
3. Choosing the right study material: Candidates must gather the right study material for CSEET. There are various books that cover the topics as per the latest CSEET syllabus. Candidates can also refer to the study materials uploaded on the official website of ICSI.
4. Understand concepts: To begin with the CSEET preparation candidates must ensure to understand the concepts of each subject. Retain information by making notes.

6. Revision: Candidates must keep a separate time for revision of important topics to reinforce learning.
7. Stay updated: Candidates must ensure to stay updated with recent developments by reading newspapers, magazines or online news portals.

Candidates who have qualified the CSEET exam will be able to apply for the CS Executive exam. CSEET May 2025 results will be announced soon. Candidates who are declared 'pass' will be able to register for the CS Executive Dec 2025 exam (both modules) till May 31, 2025. Candidates registering after May 31, 2025 will be able to apply for single module only. The last date to apply for CS Executive Dec 2025 session (single module) is July 31, 2025.The CS Executive June 2025 exam dates has been announced. The exam will be held from June 01, 2025 onwards. CSEET registrations under the new syllabus commenced on July 11, 2023. ICSI released the revised CSEET syllabus (under 2022). Candidates registering for the CSEET exam will have to prepare as per the CSEET new syllabus. The first examination under CSEET new syllabus 2022 was conducted in November 2023. The last examination under the old syllabus was conducted in July 2023. As per the revised CSEET syllabus, the viva voce portion will be removed. The question paper will be divided across four sections viz. , 1. Business Communication 2. Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning 3. Economic and Business Environment 4. Current Affairs and Quantitative Aptitude.

CSEET is conducted four times in a year- January, May, July and November. The complete schedule of CSEET in a year is as follows: 1. CSEET registration: The registrations for CSEET is open throughout the year. However, the period for particular sessions are as follows: a. October 16 to December 15- January session b. December 16 to April 15- May Session c. April 16 to July 10- July session d. July 11 to October 15- November session 2. Release of admit card: CSEET admit cards are released 10 days prior to the date of examination. 3. CSEET exam schedule a. Saturday/Sunday in second or third Week of January b. Saturday/Sunday in second or third Week of May c. Saturday/Sunday in second or third Week of July d. Saturday/Sunday in second or third Week of November 4. Declaration of result: CSEET result is declared 10 days after the date of examination.

CS Executive Entrance Test CSEET is conducted four times in a year- January, May, July, and November. There is no limitation in appearing for the CSEET exam in a year. However, candidates must note that they will have to register separately for the session they wish to appear for. Therefore, students can appear for the four sessions in a year subject to registration and payment for the CSEET application fee for each attempt. The upcoming CSEET 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on May 03, 2025 for which registrations are ongoing. Candidates willing to appear for the CSEET exam can apply for the May 2025 session examination on or before April 15, 2025.

Until the candidate is not logged in for the CSEET exam, he/she can use phone/mobile to contact the ICSI helpdesk for resolving technical queries and assistance with login for the CSEET exam. Once the candidate is logged in and the test process has commenced then candidates cannot use their phones/mobiles. During the CSEET exam process, candidates should use only the chat box or built-in mic of the system to contact the live proctor for any assistance. The candidate can also wave his/her hand before the web camera. The use of mobile phones and any other electronic gadgets during the test is strictly prohibited. If found, the candidate will be disqualified from the exam.

Candidates appearing for the CSEET exam must take the following precautions:
1. The webcam must be installed in front of the system. The camera must be placed on the top of the monitor. Any other form of camera installation is not permitted.
2. Candidate's face must be fully framed.
3. Candidate's face must be in the center of the webcam and the eye focus and contact should be on screen only.
4. Candidates must ensure that there is enough light in the room and they must sit opposite to the lighting.
5. Hair, clothes, or any other object must not cover the face of the candidate.
6. Sunglasses will not be permitted to be worn out during the examination.
7. Candidates must ensure that there is no presence of any other individual in the exam room.
8. Candidates will not be allowed any bio-breaks between the exam duration.
9. There must be no voices or noises in the background. If found, the candidate will be disqualified.
10. The exam must be taken in a safe exam browser with a full-screen window. Candidates cannot switch to other applications (including another browser/Browser-Tab) or minimize the browser.
11. No other application must be used during the test.
12. The materials and contents of the examination should not be recorded in any way.
