3. Complete the CS programme: The CS programme consists of three stages: Foundation, Executive, and Professional. If you have completed your B.Com you may be eligible for direct entry into the Executive programme, skipping the Foundation level. 4. Practical Training: Alongside the CS programme, you are required to undergo practical training. This includes a 15-month management training and a 15-month professional training period, which can be completed in a company or under a practicing Company Secretary.

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) conducts the CS Executive and CS Professional exams, which are conducted twice a year in June and December. There is no limit to the number of attempts for either of these exams. Candidates can appear for the exams as many times as they wish until they clear all the papers of the respective level.
