Hello,
Yes, a student who have taken PCMB can become a software engineer. However, he/she have to choose Computer Science in his/her under graduation. Good Luck.

First of all it depends upon your interest whether it is CSE or Electronics. Because if that is clear that you can choose any college from the two colleges you have mentioned above because both colleges are really good whether it is talk in terms of education facility, infrastructure and Placement cell is concerned.

First of all think about your 11th-12th right now, because your first main target is to get good marks in your 12th standard and with that good marks in your JEE Mains exam. If both the conditions are MET then definitely target colleges like IIT, NIT, and various other government colleges for your engineering.

Yes, definitely you have many opportunities after learning java it is very useful in the software sector even though you are a mechanical student it doesn't make any difference.

Hi Adarsh, Honestly I don't have idea about, Chandigarh University. I will suggest you to join Lovely Professional University. I did MBA from LPU and during my Post graduation I had one roommate from CSE department, She used to discuss almost everything with me weather it is academic, curriculum, placements, so I come to know about few things. 1. Appear for IIT & enroll for B.Tech course in computer Science.
2. Do BCA then MCA from recognised college.
3. Do Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
BSCS/B.Sc IT.
