Applying for polytechnic course can be done in two methods, either through entrance test or by fulfilling basic eligibility criteria of the board/college. The minimum qualification required for admission into a Diploma course is passing 10th examination, with at least 35 percent in science and maths subjects. The state boards of technical education of most of the states in India conduct entrance tests for admission to the Diploma programmes offered by various polytechnics in the state.

Give some of the good entrance exams like JEE, MMM, etc. But for this you should prepare yourself for the exams. If you are in 11th, have a look on the syllabus and go through it. You could make a strategy for this. You can join coaching too.

Not hard, not difficult, and not bad.
There are millions of students doing these courses and we cannot say that these are hard to do. It is true that one has to work hard bit that does not make it impossible. Please forget about the fear or the false observation. Hard is true when you do not want to work much.

Yes, you can. For that, you have to join Diploma in Engineering on the basis of class 10th percentage. After 3 years, you will get admission in Direct second Year Engineering ( DSY) for 3 years. You can choose software branch for that.
