(a) BTech CSE or IT if you had PCM subjects in class 12th board.
(b) BCA-MCA if you had Maths in class 12th board.
(c) BSc-MSc CS or IT if you had Maths in class 12th board.
(d) Diploma in Computer Software from private computer training institutes followed by DOE Certifications.
(e) Industry recognised Computer Certification.

Yes of course, you are a software engineer, after completing your b. Tech in computer Science engineering or you work for CSE job as a software engineer, or if you are good in programming, then you are a successful software engineer.
