Computer Science and Engineering Placement

Scope- Both branches are core branch of engineering. So, these can't be differing on the basis of scope. Scope is good in both branches. Package - Mechanical is known as evergreen branch of engineering. When it comes to packages, which never goes out of demand. But, CS is also good in packages, because we live in a world where information technology runs in our veins so there is no chance of not getting a good package. I don't want to confuse you, but at last it depends on you that if you like to work on computer, and was good in IP subject and understanding how computer works then go for CS. But, if you like to play with tools in garage and making things, then go for mechanical. But, if now also you don't know which branch you should choose then in my personal opinion you will do equally good in both the branches. Then, just look for in which branch you will get a better college. Sorry for the long post. Hope it was useful.

Hi, according to my point of view NITs are the best government colleges in India.
NIT, Jamshedpur you can choose. It has a great environment. A good to go sized campus, and in the vicinity of the market place. Co-operative people, great security and greenery all around. Experienced professors: In core branches like mechanical and civil we have some really experienced professors. With teaching experience more than probably your age.
Great Hostels: NIT Jamshedpur has one of the best hostel facilities in the country. Two mega hostels, with an accommodation of 1500 students (two buildings, 7 storey). Almost throughout your stay at NIT Jamshedpur you will get a single seater room. Which is a rare case for government colleges. Even the old hostels are well maintained and built.
Great Food: If you are from North India, I BET you will not complain about the food. Talking in relative terms, NIT Jamshedpur has better food than almost all colleges, with food being provided 4 times a day. Decent Placements: NIT Jamshedpur has great placements, with more than 120 companies visiting the campus every year you get to see some really great packages. Two students bagged 67 LPA in 2015. You shout out a domain of interest and you have a club for that. You will get active participation in all clubs and most of the clubs are free of cost to get into. For eg.
