Computer Science graduation is a good career option. Mainframe is slowly fading. Majority of Business applications on Mainframe have moved or moving to modern technology. Mainframe engineers are mostly used in reverse engineering the applications. Mainframe specialisation may help you to get good production support job but can not be now be a life long career option. Admissions in KIIT are through KIITEE. Placements in KIIT for CS/IT are pretty good and almost all students of these branches get placed. But KIIT has its last counselling on 18/6/16 and probably all seats of CS and IT have filled up.
