Both the branches i.e. CSE and Civil Engineering are good options. CSE focuses on Software development, programming, algorithms, data structures, and computer systems. There has come a high demand for skilled IT professionals in various sectors. Generally higher salary potential is there. Whereas civil engineering focuses on Design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure like roads, bridges, buildings, dams, and water supply systems. It offers competitive salaries.

Mathematics is a core subject for engineering courses. Various colleges and universities have it as mandatory requirement for admission. AICTE has revised its regulations. Hence, they allow some flexibility in the Class 12 subjects required for B.Tech courses. You can find certain colleges that can offer B.Tech CSE or similar programs to students that doesn't have Mathematics in Class 12.

Admission to SASTRA's challenging programs in CSE and IT requires a number of variables, including performance in the 12th grade and JEE Mains. You can be admitted to SASTRA for CSE or IT based on your JEE Mains percentile and 12th board percentage. This is the same procedure as previous year's cut-offs because the cut-off ranks are subject to change every year. To ensure you have a backup plan in place, take into account the difficult admissions process and your score. Check the official SASTRA university website.

With that kind of score, you may absolutely get into reputable universities! You can apply to IITs like IIT Delhi, where the cutoff in 2024 is 93.23, or you can consider other IITs like IIT Banglore, IIT Allahabad, and IIT Hyderabad. Alternatively, you can choose NITS, like NIT Calicut, NIT Warangal. In addition, there is JMI (Delhi), DTU New Delhi, BITS (Birla Institute of Technology and Science), and VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology).

As of my most recent update, it was difficult to get precise cutoff information for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University's (CSMU) B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering (CSE). Being a private university, CSMU's cutoffs change annually depending on the quantity of applications, candidates' academic standing, and the admissions policy of the institution. It is advised to get in touch with the admission office of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University directly for the most up-to-date and accurate information regarding cutoffs for B.Tech CSE programs, or to often check their official website for updates and announcements.

Here are some possible choices for a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) with a CRL (Common Rank List) rank of 1.9 lakh, an OBC rank of 66k in JEE Main, and 86% from the Jharkhand board:Think about attending state-run engineering universities in your state of residence or states close by. State quotas are common at these universities and can be beneficial.Candidates in your CSE rank range may be taken into consideration by some IIITs. IIIT Kalyani and Ranchi are two examples.Even though your rank is marginally above the top NIT cutoff, you may still be able to get into NITs with marginally lower cutoffs or through state qu

You have a number of possibilities for a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at both public and private universities if your 12th grade was 65.2%. IIITs concentrate on IT-related disciplines and also provide CSE programs. IIITs such as IIIT Allahabad, IIIT Jabalpur, IIIT Kancheepuram, etc. are a few examples.  Even though your 12th percentile might fall just short of the top NITs' CSE cutoffs, certain NITs may nevertheless take your percentage into consideration in subsequent rounds or for particular category quotas.
