With a 57th percentile in the JEE Mains, getting admission to a good college for a B.Tech in CSE would depend on the cutoff of the applied colleges. Generally, top colleges have higher cutoffs for the CSE branches. For all undergraduate courses across India, state domicile candidates from Jharkhand have options like NIT Jamshedpur and BIT Mesra through state counseling, which have some fixed quota for state candidates. The chances can be gauged only by going through the last year's cutoffs. Counseling has to be attended, and every opportunity, according to percentiles and domicile status, is maximally utilized. The admission process is competitive, and hence, the confirmation of a seat in the chosen programme cannot be left to chance.

With a VITEEE rating of 30000, it may be difficult to gain admission to the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) programme at the VIT Vellore campus. Typically, the cutoff for CSE at VIT Vellore is in the top rankings, often much below 30000. However, admittance is also determined by the number of applicants, their preferences, and the availability of seats. It is encouraged that candidates attend counselling sessions as soon as possible, as fluctuations and withdrawals can lead to opportunities for candidates with somewhat lower ranks.
