Computer Science Engineering Eligibility

Your stream should be science with PCM as compulsory subjects in your intermediate studies and you must me good in these. Some initial knowledge of programming may be an add on or a necessary requirement depending on the college you are applying for. For IITs and NITs initial coding knowledge is not compulsory, they teach from very basic level. Most of colleges allot CS branches based on your rank in there entrance exams. More Ever there is no such special requirement to apply for computer science and engineering.

Candidates must need to hold a Bachelor's degree or Masters in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanity, Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Education programme with minimum 50 % marks in qualifying degree for general category and 45% marks for SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy layer/ PWD).

Hello Roshni, V NIT-Nagpur is one of the oldest and most sought after NIT for aspirants of engineering seats. Due to this the cut offs are on the higher side in this Institute of national eminence. Sorry, but you will not be able to get into Nirma Unversity with these marks. Though the selection is dynamic and dependent upon the students applying for it and hence changes every year, still the cutoff for CSE/IT is around 2k and the least non-technical branches is around 80k.
