You can try for lateral entry into BCA course in few colleges if you possess a relevant Diploma of Hons in computer application. This depends on the policy of the college and the result of your Diploma course in relation to the segments taking in the BCA program. Normally, the colleges themselves recruit students after Diploma in the related field for the lateral entry with condition that the student must have least 50% or 60% in the Diploma course. D Y Patil International University, Pune admits students from any stream for BCA but commerce stream students are also free to apply. The criteria of eligibility that have been set include a minimum of 45% marks in the 10+2 examination or equivalent. Therefore, applicants in the commerce faculty are welcome to apply. The admission process chiefly differentiates between merit and the fee structure of BCA at DY Patil International University is around INR 120000 per annum. As such, you may also incur other charges like examination charges that costs about INR 10, 000 per academic year, among other charges.

It generally happens with B.com ones who choose MCA for their PG.There's a way out of it for all non-mathematics students.Well, math is essentially not important for BCA but it is always recommended since the subjects in college would require a great deal of mathematical application which is nothing but complex. So, in your 10+2, go for math as optional and either of computer courses (C++, Python, JAVA, IT etc) as compulsory. Also, a basic knowledge of maths will help you to ace subjects like Quantitative Aptitude which are often the hitting points to your CGP.

Yes, R.V. College of Engineering does offer internships in the MCA curriculum. The information available on the official website of the college states that- "The MCA programme is a professional PG programme comprising of four semesters inclusive of one full semester project internship in industry/ institute. However, if there is any eligibility criteria for entering the phase of internships are not explicitly mentioned on the college's website.
