NIT Calicut has a seat intake of 52 for the two-year MCA course. In addition, the total tuition fee sums up to INR 2.1 lakh. The total course fee will further include other components such as the hostel fee, admission fee, caution deposit, library fee, etc. It must be noted that the mentioned fee is as per various unofficial sources and hence is indicative.

The University has not released the BCA placement data. At the UG level, the BTech placement details are out. During 2022 placements, 50 out of 140 BTech students were placed. Earlier, 20 out of 208 students were placed in the 2021 drive. The median package offered from 2020 to 2022 indicates an improving trend. Yes, the university accepts SAT score for providing admission to BCA course. Apart from SAT, the university also considers the merit of the aspirants in Class 12. Candidates must also pass  Class 12 with at least 60% aggregate (best of three subjects) or with a minimum score of 24 in IB Board can apply for the BCA course. Aspirants must hold documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of counselling. After completion of the selection rounds, candidates are called for document verification and counselling. Shortlisted aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

The university has well-design structure for BCA. To complete the course, a student would need to earn 120 credits to get a BCA degree and 15 additional credits to earn a BCA (Hons) degree.
