In general, competitive exam scores improve admission prospects, since the selection process takes into account both academic and entrance exam performance. Specific cutoff marks can vary per year, based on the number of applicants and their scores, and they may also alter somewhat for candidates in reserved categories. Candidates with 10+2 in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible for admission to the BCA program. Mathematics should be at the level of Matriculation for the student. The college accepts equivalences from other boards and admits students on merit basis on marks scored in the qualifying examination. Other candidates who had compartmentalized in one subject are also eligible to apply, provided they meet specific conditions stated by the college's guidelines.
