Hi,
I think more than the scope, the interest of individual matters for success in a particular area of law. Let's say, for example, I am interested in information technology law but I pursue consumer law after my law school. I would not be working with that zeal or enthusiasm as compared to IT law. Therefore, according to me, the interest mattes more than the scope as you can make money under any area of law and practice.
But coming to the question, most of the areas of law are interlinked. Which one has a better scope? I think both of these are too diverse fields and have a lot of subject matters within. Both information technology and

The additional benefits that one can expect out of pursuing a Diploma or PG Diploma in consumer law would range from placements to independent practice to academics.
A well-qualified aspirant is much appreciated and recruiters look for candidates having additional qualifications.
This would help you get a better placement at first instance. Apart from that, it would help you in setting up your independent practices. Moreover, after completion of a PG or Diploma, you may opt for teaching profession, wherein you could easily be appointed as a consumer law professor provided you clear UGC NET.

First of all, both are very different areas and they shouldn't be compared, but I would still answer it as to the best of my knowledge.
There is no official data available in India about the number of lawyers in both areas and about their salaries so it becomes tough to compare both.
Business law is about disputes between firms, companies, partnerships, and small businesses.
