Cabin crew is a term used for the members of an aircraft crew, who attend the passengers. Some institutes offers job oriented courses, which helps you to prepare for cabin crew interviews. These are professional training, which doesn't require any certification from any university. They train you as per the airline criteria, so that you can crack the interview.
Training is not compulsory to face any interview. If you think you meet the criteria required by any airline, then go and attend any walk in interview. Once you face the interview, you will get an idea whether you need to join any institute or not for training.

To become an air hostess, you need to meet the certain criteria required by airlines like height, weight, clear skin, communication skills, etc. For airport ground, they just need graduates or undergraduates with good communication skills and well-groomed personality.
I would suggest you some names, which are providing good training with job placement like IGIA, AHA and IAHM.

If you think that you are a cabin crew material, you can apply for all the available vacancies with the airlines. If you get selected, they train you in any case. Airlines do not trust on the training acquired from institutions. The only help you get from the institution is that of the interview dates.
In the interview, no airline will ask you any questions about safety, first aid or services because they are airline specific, when it comes to service. But yes, if you are an experienced crew, be ready to answer a few technical ones. In your case they judge you on your personality, grooming, communication and BMI.
