The LEET (Lateral Entry Entrance Test) application process for B.E./B.Tech courses, including at KIIT College of Engineering, typically follows the schedule set by Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES). For 2024, the tentative dates for the application process are as follows:- Online Registration Start Date: June 16, 2024  - Last Date for Registration: August 16, 2024  - Admit Card Availability: First week of September 2024  - Exam Date: First week of September 2024   The exam is conducted online, and candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for their application to be valid. The LEET serves as a pathway for Diploma holders and B.Sc. graduates to gain lateral entry into the second year of B.Tech programs across participating institutes in Haryana.

In this college, the opportunity for admission to the B.E. / B.Tech programs is offered after passing the MHT CET exam which is followed at the Shri Sant Gadge Baba College of Engineering & Technology (SSGB). Candidates applying for the post should have passed the 10+2 examination with an aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Further, they have to obtain a minimum cumulative percentage of 50% (45% for the reserved categories).The MHT-CET score works to the advantage of all the applicants because such students' merit list ranking is pegged on the score. The college also applies category-wise reservation and number of seats to be filled during the college admission.After the preparation of the merit list, students who stand on this list undergo counselling where their papers are authenticated to ensure they are qualified to take this college.

ELIGIBILITY RULESGeneralCandidates satisfying the eligibility conditions given below as of the last date of submission of online application areeligible to apply. Passing the qualifying examination or changing the religion after the last date of submission ofthe online application shall not be considered.3.1 Nativityi) Tamil Nadu candidates who have passed VIII, IX, X, XI and XII Std. from schools situated in Tamil Naduare eligible to apply. They need not produce a Nativity Certificate for verification.ii) Tamil Nadu native candidates who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI and XII Std. or their equivalentexamination from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply. They should produce NativityCertificate only in electronic form/digitally signed e-certificate at the time of originalcertificates verification at the TNEA Facilitation Centre (TFC).iii) Children of Central Government Employees may also apply for admission, irrespective of their native,provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Naducontinuously for the past FIVE YEARS at the time of submission of application. This should besupported by producing a certificate from the employer of the parent or guardian, to that effect at thetime of original certificate verification at TFiv) Children of employees in the Public Sector or government-recognised Institutions who at the time ofsubmission of application for admission employed in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five yearsmay also apply irrespective of their domicile. A certificate from the employer stating that the person is aPermanent Employee of the Firm or Institution concerned with evidence like Income Tax return, PFSlips, etc. and have been working in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past FIVE YEARS have to be produced atthe time of original certificate verification at TFC. v) Sons and daughters of All India Service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply. A Self-declarationfrom the parent in this regard is to be produced at the time of original certificate verification.vi) Other State candidates who have studied VIII, IX, X, XI and XII Std. in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply.They need not produce a “Nativity Certificate”.Note:1. Applications without a proper Nativity Certificate for Category (ii) without proper employercertificate for Categories (iii) and (iv) and without self-declaration from the parent forCategory (v) will not be considered. 2. Category (vi) need not produce an employer certificate/nativity certificate.3. Categories from (iii) to (vi) will be considered under “Open Competition”. 

It appears unlikely to get admission to a B.E. or B.Tech. course at Pavendar Bharathidasan College of Engineering and Technology (PABCET) for the current academic year (2024-2025) without TNEABut here are some possibilities TNEA is the only Admission process: Search results yield TNEA as the only admission process for B.E and B.Tech at PABCET. News articles till September 2024 claim that TNEA carried out counselling rounds for such courses. No other processes were admitted at PABCET website: According to the official website of PABCET (Link 1) admissions are open for no other process apart from TNEA.And maybe a few choices:Management Quota (if any): Indian colleges do have seats under a management quota and these, sometimes, have lesser numbers of students. These are not through TNEA, though you can certainly look for such quotas on the college websites, which aren't tabulated here on PABCET, so this can't be the case here.Lateral Entry (Second Year): PABCET accepts B.Tech on lateral entry. It can be availed for those who are passing the engineering Diploma and hence would be allowed to join in the second year. Not available for first-year B.E or B.Tech.

Eligibility criteria to join B.E. / B.Tech in Engineering colleges:Candidates should obtain at least 45% of marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying exam 10th class for Diploma courses, (10+2) for B.Tech Courses.Admission is through counselling based on the rank obtained in the Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET).B.Tech/B.E admissions are regulated by the Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE). Admissions made are in two categories i.e. A & B, as per the guidelines mentioned in various GOs released by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh from time to time.Category-A  Seats: There is a centralized online system maintained by APSCHE for 70% of the Category-A (Aspirants applying through the state entrance exam)Category – B Seats: The remaining 30 % of the total seats (Category – B: Management Quota- 5% NRI,25% other states) are filled by the college as per the guidelines transparently issued by the APSCHE.
