Out of the total intake, 70% of the students are taken through TS EAMCET to apply for admission to B.E./B.Tech programme of the Nalla Malla Reddy Engineering College. But 30% of seats are available for management quota only. It shows that candidates can join colleges under management quota without TS EAMCET. Eligibility criteria remain the same: 45% in 10 + 2 with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Bio Technology. Other prerequisites are to register with the college website and attend counselling services. Total intake: Comprising 8 branches that cover Computer Science, Electronics and Mechanical Engineering the institute has a total of 1,200 seats.

To be eligible for a B.E. or B.Tech course at Government Engineering College, Erode, you must meet the following minimum requirements:Pass the 10+2 (HSC) or equivalent exam with a minimum of 45%  If you passed the 10+2 in a vocational subject, you must also have passed an engineering-related subject like Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics  If you are an SC/ST candidate, you only need to pass the qualifying exam  If you are a BC/BC (Muslim) candidate, you need a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics  If you are an MBC/DNC candidate, you need a minimum of 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics  Candidates who have completed a Diploma in a relevant stream from a recognised institution are also eligible for lateral entry.  

It is possible to secure a seat in the B.E. / B.Tech programs in PET Engineering College without attending the TNEA counselling session but under the management quota. While TNEA is the most recognised channel of admission where one has to pass their 12th-class examination and qualify, the college reserves some seats under management quota where TNEA need not be attended.However, even for the management quota, you may be required to satisfy the requirements of the course on offer (like having completed your 12th standard with qualifying marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics). Further, some of the institutions may have separate entrance tests or interviews for those who want to avail management quota which is not the case with every institution.
