Initial minimum duration of executive programme is 9 months. It means after registration to executive programme, a student can give exams of both module only after the time gap of 9 months excluding the months of admission and the examination. However, a candidate registered as a student at least six calendar months prior to the month in which the examination commences may be allowed to appear in one module of the Executive Programme examination.
If student fails to clear the executive exams in first attempt, he/she can give exams again without paying any registration fee again (examination fee is payable every time).
But students are required to pass the executive and professional programme within 5 years from the month of their registration in cs executive otherwise they will have to renew their registration by paying some additional fee (known as de-novo registration).

Here are several stages in company secretary course ie, foundation programme, executive programme and professional programme.
In addition to it the student needs to undergo 15 hours of training session.
Foundation programme can be pursued by students who have passed 10+2 exam with arts, commerce or science subjects.
For executive programmes only the graduate students are eligible expect for the fine arts students.
And lastly those who clear the executive programme can dothe professional programme.On completing the course you will basically will be an expert in the areas related to the legal aspects of the company. So you will find opportunities as the legal compliance officer of the company. You will need to advise the board on the best practices in corporate governance. Also you will be able to advice on areas like security laws, corporate laws etc. Your role will basically be a strategic adviser to the company.
