The Common Proficiency Test, commonly known as CPT or CA-CPT is an entry-level examination for Chartered Accountancy Certification in India. The exam is conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in compliance with the Chartered Accountants Regulations 1988, for candidates who wish to pursue a career in Chartered Accountancy in India. It is conducted twice in a year. Eligibility: Students can apply for the exam after completing 10th standard but are eligible to appear for the exam only once they have cleared/ completed 12th standard or 2nd-year of pre-university course. Yes, it is true that you can do CA without giving the example CPT (Common Proficiency Test was the first level of Chartered Accountancy examinations). For such that you have a need to score 55% in your graduation. And thereafter you can take admission in CA inter.

No, it is not possible, candidate must have complete 10+2 and Bachelor's degree with minimum 60% in any stream.

The CPT or Common Proficiency Test was the first level of Chartered Accountancy examinations in India which has been changed to CA Foundation according to ICAI revised scheme. You can give this exam just after 12 board examination and before the announcement of your board results on a progressive basis.
