Hey,
If you visit any Court in India, most of the litigation involves the element of Criminal Law in some form or the other. A lot of disputes today involve principles of Criminal Law. Further, looking for a financial perspective, criminal lawyers make a lot of money. I think these odd reasons are enough to highlight the benefits of pursuing a certificate or Diploma in Criminal Law. Apart from these, most of the times, the subject are not taught at length in regular classes. Hey.
I think more than the scope, the interest of an individual matter for success in a particular area of law. Let's say, for example, I am interested in Taxation Law but I I pursue criminal law after my law school. I would not be working with that zeal or enthusiasm as compared to taxation law. Therefore, according to me, the interest mattes more than the scope as you can make money under any area of law and practice.

If you want to earn from the very beginning of your career as a lawyer, company law is for you. Criminal law won't give you money. You need to practice for like 10 years to create some goodwill. But once you have created your name, life becomes easy for you.

I will ask you one question. After having studied law for sometime then only choice is required to be given. By now you would know as to what is your passion? Which subject is interesting to you. Each of the three subjects that you are talking about have huge potential. But if you follow the passion, study becomes enjoyable.

Hi Jasmine,
Any 10+2 holders are eligible for BA/ B.Sc. Psychology as well as BA Criminology. In India, few institute only offer the course such as BA Criminology and Police Administration from University of Madras, Chepauk, Chennai as well as Annamalai University. You can study criminology as a subject in LLB too.
