Pavan ! You can choose between Psychology / Sociology/Biology/Biotechnology etc. A minimum graduation degree is required to become a criminologist. But people with masters or Doctorate are preferred.

Hi Jasmine,
Any 10+2 holders are eligible for BA/ B.Sc. Psychology as well as BA Criminology. In India, few institute only offer the course such as BA Criminology and Police Administration from University of Madras, Chepauk, Chennai as well as Annamalai University. You can study criminology as a subject in LLB too.
The duration may vary based on course. The Training and Placement Unit of the Institute is responsible for providing world class job opportunities to the undergraduate and postgraduate students after graduation for suitable jobs in the industry and various private and public sector organizations.

To become a Forensic criminologist, one mainly needs good experience in this field. One should have at least a Master's degree in forensic science. A graduation degree in concerned subjects is required to pursue this master's degree. The discipline specialized at under graduate degree can be physics, chemistry, microbiology, zoology, biochemistry, BDS, B.Pharma, botany or any other applied science.
