To become a criminal lawyer, you have to do law. Otherwise, you will not be able to practice. You can study criminology as an additional subject or choose it in advanced years of law.

Go through your Bachelors syllabus and also look into the entrance exam syllabus as that will help you in figuring out essential topics, as there are no particular book for preparation of M.Sc Forensics and also read some basics of forensics for that choose a good author like BR Sharma or saffestein etc.

After completing BA, you have good career opportunities you can do B.Ed or as you mentioned criminology after finishing BA course, you can do MA in criminology and after finishing that you can work in government services this is the best career opportunities and for criminology eligibility criteria would be BA Criminology or BA in public administration.
