There is only three colleges in Chennai which offers courses in criminology
1. Institute of distance education, University of Madras B.A. In criminology and police administration (3year) - INR 7, 50/.
2. DDE, Madurai Kamaraj University- Post graduate Diploma in criminology and police administration (1year)- INR 5000.
3. Karunya Institute of technology and Science-BA in criminology (3 years) - 1.83 lakh.

The eligibility criteria of MA Criminology from LNJN National Institute of criminology and Forensic Science is as under. Eligibility Criteria: Graduate from any UGC recognized University securing at least 50%, marks in aggregate at the final examination. Admission Criteria: Admission shall be on the basis of the merit of the written test /MACRIM CET.
