CSEET Pattern

CSEET shall be conducted through REMOTE Proctored mode instead of conducting the same from Test Centres. Candidates are allowed to appear for the CSEET using their own laptop or desktop from home/ such another convenient and isolated place. Candidates shall not be allowed to appear in CSEET by using a Mobile Phone, Tablet, Palmtop, etc. The duration of CSEET shall be 2 Hours, i.e. 120 minutes. Candidates are required to download the safe exam browser SEB Lite on their Laptop or Desktop as per the link provided to them in due course of time at the registered email ID of the candidates for the Mock and Live Test separately by using credentials (User ID & Password).

ICSI conducts the CSEET exam. The question paper is divided across four sections viz, Business Communication, Current Affairs Economics and Business Environment and Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. The number of questions in each section is as follows:
1. Business Communication: This section includes 35 questions. The total number of marks for this section is 50.
2. Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning: This section is divided into two parts. Part A- Legal Aptitude is of 25 marks and Part B- Logical reasoning is also of 25 marks. The total number of questions included in this section is 35
3. Economics and Business Environment. This section is divided into two parts. Each part is of 25 marks. The total number of question in this section are 35 questions.
4. Current Affairs Presentation and Communication Skills: The number of questions asked from Current Affairs is 15, whereas Presentation & Communication skills includes 20 questions. Each section typically contains multiple choice questions (MCQs) and is conducted in remote proctored mode.

Until the candidate is not logged in for the CSEET exam, he/she can use phone/mobile to contact the ICSI helpdesk for resolving technical queries and assistance with login for the CSEET exam. Once the candidate is logged in and the test process has commenced then candidates cannot use their phones/mobiles. During the CSEET exam process, candidates should use only the chat box or built-in mic of the system to contact the live proctor for any assistance. The candidate can also wave his/her hand before the web camera. The use of mobile phones and any other electronic gadgets during the test is strictly prohibited. If found, the candidate will be disqualified from the exam.

Candidates appearing for the CSEET exam must take the following precautions:
1. The webcam must be installed in front of the system. The camera must be placed on the top of the monitor. Any other form of camera installation is not permitted.
2. Candidate's face must be fully framed.
3. Candidate's face must be in the center of the webcam and the eye focus and contact should be on screen only.
4. Candidates must ensure that there is enough light in the room and they must sit opposite to the lighting.
5. Hair, clothes, or any other object must not cover the face of the candidate.
6. Sunglasses will not be permitted to be worn out during the examination.
7. Candidates must ensure that there is no presence of any other individual in the exam room.
8. Candidates will not be allowed any bio-breaks between the exam duration.
9. There must be no voices or noises in the background. If found, the candidate will be disqualified.
10. The exam must be taken in a safe exam browser with a full-screen window. Candidates cannot switch to other applications (including another browser/Browser-Tab) or minimize the browser.
11. No other application must be used during the test.
12. The materials and contents of the examination should not be recorded in any way.

CSEET mock test is conducted to familiarise candidates to the actual test environment and also validate the compatibility of the software and hardware. If the candidate encounters any technical issue during the mock test they must contact the technical support notified on the email address sent to all the candidates. The contact details will also be mentioned on the CSEET admit card. Candidates may contact the technical authorities on all working days from 10 AM to 6:00 PM, excluding Sunday. In case of disruptions during the CSEET online examination viz. , No network connection, no internet connectivity, power disruptions, network disconnection due to Wi-Fi disabled, or any other such scenarios, candidates will be allowed to log in again. Candidates will be able to continue the test from the last question attempted. All the answers are saved automatically. In such cases, the remote proctor will keep a tab. Candidates must ensure to log in immediately after getting logout. Additionally, candidates will be given extra 15 minutes to compensate for the time loss if there are any disruptions with the permission of the live proctor. Candidates practicing any unfair means will be disqualified. Candidates must ensure to follow the exam day guidelines for the smooth conduct of the exam.

Live proctors will watch the CSEET exam online. The process will be carried out in following ways:
1. Proctors will be able to chat with the exam taker in an active chat session.
2. Proctors can also communicate with the test takers through a microphone or camera.
3. During the exam, the activities of the candidate and screen will be captured frequently.
4. Each session is finished either by the test taker, automatically after the end of the allotted time, or by the proctor. All audio, video, text messages and recorded events are saved in the system and are attached to the session protocol.
5. At the end of the exam, the proctor will leave a remark (positive or negative) about the candidate. If there are no violations during the exam, then the proctor will mark the candidate positive.

According to the CSEET exam pattern, the question paper will be divided across four sections. The question paper will consist of total 140 questions. The total duration of the CSEET exam to attempt 140 questions is two hours. Candidates can attempt any section as per their preference, however, candidates must ensure to divide their time for each section wisely to complete all the section. There will be no sectional time limit to attempt the CSEET sections. However, candidates must note that timer and chalk the strategy to attempt the questions accordingly. Candidates will noit be given extra time to attempt the CSEET exam. The exam will close automatically when the duration ends.

Candidates preparing for the CSEET exam in one month must be diligent and disciplined to ace the CS Executive entrance exam. The upcoming CSEET 2025 exam is scheduled on May 03, 2025. Candidates who will register for the CSEET 2025 exam will be sent the exam link and login credentials. Candidates must use those credentials to begin their test. The credentials will be sent to the candidate's email address or via SMS. CSEET May 2025 session examination is scheduled to be held on May 03. Candidates will be sent the link and credentials for CSEET exam two-three days prior to the date of examination. Candidates must ensure to have a stable internet connection and the latest browser to avoid any interruptions while logging in. Candidates are advised to log in 30 minutes prior to the given time of examination. Candidates will not be permitted to enter 15 minutes after the commencement of the examination.
