CSIR NET Pattern

No, the CSIR NET (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test) exam is conducted in online mode as a computer-based test (CBT). The exam is conducted at designated exam centers across the country, and the candidates have to take the test using a computer provided at the exam center. The exam is conducted in a secure and controlled environment to ensure that there is no malpractice or cheating. The test centers are equipped with modern computer systems, and the candidates are provided with a login ID and password to access the exam. Part B and Part C have subject-specific questions and for every right answer, candidates can get either 2 or 4 marks. Part B and Part C can provide a total of 120 marks for all right answers. Part B has 40 questions and Part C has 60 questions. There is also a negative marking in the CSIR NET exam. Candidates are advised to attempt only questions that they are confident about. 

CSIR NET exam in an online mode. The duration of the exam is 3 hours and CSIR is conducted for five subjects namely Earth, Atmospheric, Ocen and Planetary Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences. The total marks obtained in CSIR NET is 200. Candidates need to attempt a total of 75 MCQs from all three parts: Part A, B and C.
