The exam pattern includes 120 questions divided into General Aptitude, Physics-I (Core subjects), and Physics-II (Advanced subjects). There is no limit in the number of attempts for CSIR NET. As long as the eligibility is met, students can appear for CSIR NET. However, it is important to note that rules and regulations may change from time to time, so candidates must check the official sources for the most relevant and latest information. The basic educational qualification for CSIR NET is that students must have obtained a degree in BTech/BE/BPharma/MBBS with a minimum 55% from a recognized university.

Yes, it is crucial to know that there is a negative marking in the CSIR NET exam. If a student has attempted a wrong question in Part B, 25% dedication will done. 33% will dedicated to Part C of the Earth Sciences Paper. Students should only attempt questions they have full knowledge of. Guesswork should be avoided while writing the CSIR NET exam.

CSIR NET consists of Multiple Choice Questions and it covers various topics. The difficulty level of questions increases from Part A to Part C. The marks allotted for a correct answer vary depending on the part and type. Part A has 20 questions and each right answer carries one mark each. Part B and Part C have subject-specific questions and for every right answer, candidates can get either 2 or 4 marks. Part B and Part C can provide a total of 120 marks for all right answers. Council of Scientific and Insutrial Redearch National Eligibility Test, commonly known as CSIR MET is a national level exam conducted in an online model. The ecam consists of three sections - Part A, B and C. Section/Part A comprises of generic question from all subjects. Section B and C is subject-specific. Part A evaluate  students' reasoning ability skills, research ability, comprehension skills etc. On the other hand, Part B and C questions are related to the subject selected by students.
