Over two Lacs candidates register for the CSIR UGC NET exam every year. In June 2023, a total of 2,74,027 candidates had registered while 1,99,890 aspirants appeared for the exam. Council of Scientific and Industrial Research CSIR NET (also known as CSIR UGC NET is a national-level exam conducted by the National Testing Agency NTA to determine the eligibility of candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship (LS)/ Assistant Professor in the universities and colleges of India.

CSIR UGC NET application fee is INR 1,150 for the General category, INR 600 for the OBC-NCL category and INR 325 for SC/ST and PwD category candidates. Candidates can pay their requisite fees on online mode through netbanking/credit card/debit card/UPI. After submitting the application fee, your application form will be provisionally accepted by the NTA. If NTA founds any discrepancy in the application form, the candidature of the candidate will be rejected at any time-point of exam.
