No, it is not compulsory for students to appear for all three parts. The three parts of the CSIR NET exam are Part A:General Aptitude, Part B: Subject-specific paper and Part C: Subject-specific paper. If a candidate is only interested in Lectureship (and not JRF) in this case candidates need not appear for Part C of the exam. For all students aiming for JRF need to appear for all three parts. Part B and Part C are subject specific and students need to choose their respective subjects for the same.

CSIR NET 2023 notification was released on the official website on 1st Nov 2023. There are five papers in CSIR NET; Mathematical Science, Life Science, Chemical Science, Earth Science and Physical Science. The exam is conducted in CBT mode. The application form correction for CSIR NET from December 6 to 8, 2023. CSIR NET intimation slip will be soon released on the official website. The exam is scheduled to be conducted from December 26 to 28, 2023. CSIR NET is a national level by NTA.

The eligibility criteria for CSIR NET are prescribed by CSIR in terms of age limit, educational qualification etc. Candidates aspiring to appear for CSIR NET must meet the eligibility criteria. CSIR JRF age limit is 28 years. The notifications of CSIR NET are released by NTAM. The exam is conducted in a total of five papers - Life Science, Mathematical Science, Chemical Science, Earth Science and Physical Science. The CSIR NET 2023 exam for December session will be held by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on December 26, 27 & 28, 2023.The CSIR NET exam for December 2023 session will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for 5 subjects from December 26 to 28, 2023. Council of Scientific and Insutrial Redearch National Eligibility Test, commonly known as CSIR MET is a national level exam conducted in an online model. The ecam consists of three sections - Part A, B and C. Section/Part A comprises of generic question from all subjects. Section B and C is subject-specific.
