Yes, the CSIR NET exam can be taken by you with your B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering and M.Tech in Nanotechnology. According to the eligibility criteria, candidates who have a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent with at least 55 percent marks (50 percent marks for reserved categories) are eligible for the CSIR NET exam. It can be added here that the age restriction for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is up to 28 years from July 2022, and there is relaxation of 5 years in the age limit for candidates of the reserved category.

The CSIR NET Certificate for the December 2023 exam likely won't be released until sometime between June and August 2024.Here's why:The CSIR NET results for December 2023 were declared in February 2024.Typically, CSIR or NTA releases the e-certificates on their website 4-5 months after the result declaration.Therefore, you can expect the certificates to be downloadable around June-August 2024. CSIR determines JRF qualifying scores using the candidate's performance in the written test. Those candidates who score equal to or above the cutoff marks for SRF are regarded as qualified, provided that they correspond to all other criteria of eligibility. Every year, over 2000 applicants are considered for the CSIR NET exam for JRF. Any candidate who earns a JRF can continue with the Ph.D. placement scheme.  CSIR NET cut-off is not the same for all categories. There is a minimum qualifying mark, but the actual cut-off for eligibility for JRF and Lectureship positions can vary depending on the category. There is no limit in the number of attempts for CSIR NET. As long as the eligibility is met, students can appear for CSIR NET.
