The CTET Paper 2 is for teaching posts in classes 6 to 8 in government schools. The paper 2 pattern is as follows:
The syllabus for CTET Paper 2 consists of four sections. (a) Section 1: 30 questions based on child development and pedagogy, each worth one mark. (b) Section 2 and Section 3: Language 1 and Language 2 each consist of 30 questions worth one mark. (c) Section 4: You will have to attempt any one of the following sections: mathematics and Science, or social Science. The CTET Paper-1 is for teaching posts in classes 1 to 5 in government and private schools. The syllabus for CTET Paper 1 consists of five sections. The CTET score will be valid for life, as per a recent order. Earlier, the validity of the CTET score used to be seven years. The Ministry of Education recently extended the validity of the CTET score to a lifetime. Therefore, after qualifying the Central Teacher Eligibility Test CTET you can apply for teacher posts in government schools for your lifetime. Also, there is no restriction on the number of attempts you can make at the CTET Certificate exam. If you have already qualified for the test but have not scored well, you may take it again to improve your score.

Qualifying the CTET exam makes you eligible to apply for government teacher vacancies across India. The benefits of clearing CTET are as follows:
1. After you clear the CTET a Certificate will be issued to you. You can apply for all central government teaching posts, including NVS, Army Schools, and DSSSB with it.
2. You can also apply for state government teaching vacancies across India with the CTET score.
3. Many private schools also prefer CTET-qualified candidates for their teaching posts.
4. You can also work as a contract teacher at many government and non-government schools.

You can pass either the TET or CTET to become a teacher after your postgraduate degree. The CTET is a central-level exam, and the TET is conducted by different states, for example, the UPTET exam. Both exams are conducted to certify the applicants to apply for government teaching posts. The minimum eligibility criteria for this exam is to have graduated with a B.Ed. Thus, you can apply for any of the exams for both the TGT and PRT posts. If you want suggestions, you are advised to appear for the CTET as its score will be valid in all states. You will also be eligible to apply for other teaching posts, such as KVS and NVS.

Yes, according to Central Board of Secondary Education ( CBSE) rules the B.Ed. Appearing students are also eligible to apply for CTET exam. In the official notification, it is clearly mentioned in the eligibility criteria of papers 1 and 2:
1. Students appearing in their final year of Diploma
2. Students appearing in B.Ed.
3. Candidates appearing in any other teaching course recognised by NCTE
These can also apply to the CTET exam. However, you need to complete your course by the time you apply for a teaching post.

The CTET Paper 2 is conducted to certify candidates for government teaching posts in classes 5 to 8. The criteria to apply for Paper 2 of the CTET is to have any of the following qualifications:
1. Graduation degree with a Diploma in Elementary Education
2. A graduation degree with 50 percent and B.Ed.
3. A graduation degree with 40 percent marks and a B.Ed. Degree.
4. Senior Secondary with 50% and a four-year duration; Bachelor of Elementary Education
5. Integrated graduate degrees such as B.A. Ed. And B.Sc. Ed. With 50 percent in the 12th grade
6. A graduation degree with 50% and a special B.Ed. Of one year.

Yes, you can become a government teacher without taking the CTET exam. There are some teaching vacancies for which you can apply without a CTET Certificate. You can apply for the following teaching posts without CTET.
1. DSSSB assistant teacher (nursery): You can give this exam after completing Class 12 and NTT training or B.Ed. Nursery.
2. NVS teaching posts: You can apply for TGT and PGT posts if you have a B.Ed. Degree.

The Central Teaching Eligibility Test CTET is a certification exam. This exam is conducted twice a year to certify the candidates as eligible to apply for teaching posts at the primary and upper primary levels. The exam is conducted for TGT (15 classes) and PGT (68 classes) teaching posts. To apply for teaching posts in KVS, NVS, and other central government schools Qualifying for CTET is mandatory. Many state-run schools also consider the CTET score valid for applying for teaching posts. You need to have a graduate degree and an education Diploma to apply for CTET.
