Candidates who have completed ECCE are not eligible for CTET. To appear for CTET, Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from an accredited university or institution to be eligible for the CTET.Additionally, they must possess a 4-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree or a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.). While some colleges take admission on a merit basis, some of them conduct entrance exams.

If a candidate has qualified for Paper 1 but not for Paper 2, they can apply for teaching positions in elementary schools only. Therefore,  to be eligible to teach at the secondary level, a candidate needs to qualify for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of CTET. Yes, you can definitely attempt just Paper 2 in the next CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) exam.

Actually, CTET (central teacher eligibility test) is a all India level eligibility test conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education. This exam is conducted twice a year. This CTET exam is to find the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers for Classes 1 to 8. So, while preparing for this exam, you should need previous years papers for practice. You can find this previous papers on CTET official website and shiksha.com also provide these papers on their official website.
