Minimum CTET Qualifications for Primary Stage Teacher
Candidates need to meet the below-mentioned eligibility criteria for CTET exam if they want to become a teacher for Class I-V. Completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
or
Completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 45% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. or
Completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd). or
Completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*. or
Graduated with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree. For detailed information, you can see below link-

As per UGC NET information bulletin-2018, there is no need to CTET or any other courses for NET exam. As per the eligibility criteria, candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Masters Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science etc. Are eligible for this Test. The Other Backward Classes (OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer/Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/persons with disability (PwD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Masters degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.
