CUET-PG Syllabus

Yes, NTA has added some new topics in the CUET PG MCA syllabus for the academic session 2025-2026. There are majorly three subjects in MCA syllabus namely, Decision Making and Thinking Skills, Mathematics and Computers. The exam officials added few more topics in the Computer subject.The added topics are mentioned below:Computer networks: OSI Model, TCP/IP model, LAN technologies (Ethernet, Token ring), Transmission media – twisted pair, coaxial cables fiber–optic cables, Flow and error control techniques, Routing algorithms, Congestion control, IP (v4), Application layer protocols (icmp, dns, smtp, pop, ftp, http); Sliding window protocols; Internetworking: Switch /Hub, Bridge, Router, Gateways, Concatenated virtual circuits, Firewalls: Network Security; Cryptography- public key, secret key.Domain Name System (DNS)-Electronic Mail and World Wide Web (WWW). Database Management System: Data Models, Schemas, and Instances; Three-Schema Architecture and Data Independence; Database Languages and Interfaces; Centralized and Client/Server Architectures for DBMS, Functional Dependencies and Normalization; Algorithms for Query Processing and Optimization; Transaction Processing, Concurrency Control Techniques, Database Recovery Techniques, Object and Object-Relational Databases; Database Security andAuthorization. Entity-Relationship Diagram, Relational Model - Constraints, Languages, Design, and Programming, Relational Database Schemas, Update Operations and Dealing with Constraint Violations; Relational Algebra and Relational Calculus; Codd Rules.

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for Postgraduate (PG) programs as it's a relatively new exam introduced by the University Grants Commission (UGC). However, the General Aptitude/Reasoning section in similar entrance exams generally covers a range of topics. The National Testing Agency will shortly release the CUET PG 2024 exam pattern. The CUET PG 2024 exam will be administered online through computer-based testing (CBT), in line with last year's pattern. The exam will be for two hours in total. The question paper will be available in Hindi and English. According to the CUET PG exam pattern 2024, there will be two sections to the question paper and a total of 100 questions in the test. There were 25 questions in Part A on language comprehension and verbal ability, and there were 75 questions in Part B that were unique to a given topic. The dates for CUET PG 2024 have been set for March 11, 2024, to March 28, 2024. The question paper will be available in Hindi and English. According to the CUET PG exam pattern 2024, there will be two sections to the question paper and a total of 100 questions in the test. There were 25 questions in Part A on language comprehension and verbal ability, and there were 75 questions in Part B that were unique to a given topic. It is mandatory for candidates to complete the Language Comprehension/Verbal Ability section. For applicants who choose to take all test papers except Education (PGQP01), they must additionally take the General Test.

The National Testing Agency (NAT) is the exam authority for the CUET PG 2024. The National Testing Agency will soon issue the CUET PG 2024 syllabus for the domain-specific subjects along with an brochure. To ensure they are well-prepared for the entrance exam, candidates are advised to extensively review the CUET PG syllabus for the course in question. An entrance exam at the all-Indian level called the Central University Entrance Test (Postgraduate), or CUET PG, is being established for admission to postgraduate studies in Central and participating Universities. The candidates will be able to cover a broad breadth and participate in the admissions process to many Central Universities with just one examination. 

Changing the syllabus of CUET PG depends upon the examination authority.
