The eligibility criteria for Certificate Course in Basic Culinary Skills programme offered by Culinary Academy of India is:1. Candidate should be minimum 16 years of age on or before the date of commencement of the course and not more than 25 years (30 years in case of SC & ST candidates).2. A pass in Senior Secondary Certificate (SSC) with English as medium of instruction. Candidates completing SSC in languages other than English should demonstrate competency in English during the selection process.3. Candidates who have appeared SSC (10th) / X Std.or equivalent examination can also apply but the admission is subject to clearing the qualifying examination.4. Experience in Food / Culinary industry is recommended but not necessary.5. The candidate should submit photocopies of all relevant certificates along with the application form.

BHMCT students are placed as Front Office Executives, Assistant Managers, Restaurant Managers, and others. Culinary Academy of India has a strong placement record, with several top recruiting companies visiting the campus for placements. These companies offer competitive salaries and internship opportunities in the best hotels and cruise lines. However the college has not yet released any reports of placement drive and these reports are based on the reviews made by the students at Shiksha's page. 

The eligibility criteria for admission to BCT&CA at the Culinary Academy of India is given below:1. Age:All candidates must be at least 17 years of age at the time of commencement of the course.2. Academic Requirements:I. All candidates must have passed the 10+2 scheme approved by Osmania University, Hyderabad with a minimum aggregate score of 50% in any stream.II. Candidates who have appeared for Intermediate (10 + 2) or 12th standard examination or its equivalent may apply for the BCT & CA course. However, admission is subject to clearing the exam.3. Language:Candidates for whom English is not the medium of instruction must demonstrate competency in English and communication during the selection procedure.4. International Applicants:Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and foreign national students should submit all relevant documents along with the course application. The process of admission for these students will be handled by the Dean of Foreign Affairs, Osmania University, Hyderabad.Additionally, The selection process includes an All India Entrance Examination, a group discussion round and an individual interview - all held at the Brand CAI premises in Hyderabad only.Only 60 candidates will be enrolled each year in June.
