Hello Bhavesh, SRIHM is affiliated to Mumbai university and has a good name. The institution has good tie up with leading hotel chains and as a result internships and subsequent placements are very easy to come. Of course one must understand that tourist arrivals in the country have shown increasing trends and this has resulted in more hotel rooms which in turn has fuelled the demand for these professionals.

I would suggest you to take diploma courses in Culinary Arts which will more over emphasis on culinary learning and it will help you get all the basic you need for cooking. To be best you need to have and on value of creativity, the happiness to innovate things and the dedication to learn something new every day. Culinary Arts is the best industry to survive in until you have the passion to sustain it. As experience is the most crucial aspect I would you take up courses on culinary to learn about culinary arts.
All the best.

Both event management and culinary arts are very different fields. In event management, you need to get things done by different vendors and it needs more co-ordination, whereas culinary arts you need to be good at cooking different things. So decide which one interests you more and then accordingly choose the field.
